Privacy Policy

Persona embraces diversity and promotes a culture based on trust and mutual respect. We are committed to building an organisational culture and learning environment that celebrates diversity, that is fair, open and inclusive and where differences are celebrated, engagement is apparent, and the contributions of all are valued and respected. Persona actively welcomes diversity and promotes working relationships based on respect for every person.  

As a training provider, Persona aims to provide a learning environment which is free from discrimination, bullying, harassment and victimisation, where all members of the community (staff and students) are treated with respect and dignity and where there is equality of opportunity for all regardless of disability, race, ethnic or national origin, religion, gender (including gender identity), sexual orientation, marital status, social class or age.  

In order to achieve the above, Persona is committed to the following ethical principles: 

  • Persona respects the dignity, worth, uniqueness and integrity of the individual and the promotion of human growth, development and welfare. 
  • Persona affirms the self-determination, personal power and self-responsibility of staff, students and clients  
  • Persona does not practice, condone, facilitate or collude with any form of discrimination on the basis of race, colour, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, national origin, marital status, political belief, mental or physical disability or any other personal characteristic, condition or status.  
  • Persona encourages the development of an inclusive environment that promotes awareness, cultural competence and the integration of difference, by treating everyone fairly and equitably, by combating harassment and discrimination within the organisation and by encouraging an honest and open culture which values the differences between us. 
  • Persona privileges, supports and encourages freedom of inquiry and communication and recognises the responsibility this freedom implies with regard to our students, colleagues and clients. We actively monitor the boundaries of our own competence and do not practice outside the limits of our professional qualifications, competence and experience. 
  • Persona respects the privacy of the individual and preserves the confidentiality of any information obtained in the delivery of our services  
  • Persona recognises that the profession of counselling and psychotherapy is constantly developing, and we will invest in keeping abreast of current developments in the field and supporting the development of our staff and students.  

Persona expects staff and students who participate in the programme to observe these principles
